Who Am I?

My love for animals started at a very young age and has only grown with more passion over time. I have been riding competitively and caring for horses since I was just an adolescent. Being in awe of their power and their “heart” has captivated me for as long as I can remember. Horses have always given their “all” to humans, even the ones who have a “flair” for the dramatic, which are usually the ones I end up owning.

Just like anyone’s course of life, I’ve experienced my “ups and downs” and horses have always had the uncanny ability to give me peace in a world that’s constantly moving at an impossible pace. Riding, training, competing and caring for these animals forces me to pause and live in the moment, to really see and appreciate each day. They help me find my balance and my smile in times that I feel I’ve lost those things, and they’ve been instrumental in healing the hurts of my heart.

A Passion For Animals &
Physical Discipline

I love pushing my body to it’s limit. Setting new goals in order to improve my mental, physical and emotional health brings me so much joy. So often, physical discipline is used by people to beat themselves up for not being “better” or “faster” or “thinner”. But for me, it’s about reminding myself that I am enough. I don’t need to compare myself to others, I simply find joy in moving my body.

Work Experience

For many years I worked in Pit Bull Rescue Center called VillaLobos Rescue Center when it was located in Agua Dulce, Ca. You might find the name of this facility familiar, as it was featured on Animal Planet with its’ own show, Pit Bulls & Parolees. Not only did I learn plenty about the practical and physical needs of this favored and often misunderstood breed of dog, but I gained valuable experience taking care of exotic animals as well. On the property, we housed tigers, bears, wolf hybrids, lions, panthers, and one enormous and immensely moody pig… just to name a few.

We rescued many of our pit bulls from criminals who raised them to perform in fighting lines, and rehabilitated thousands of injured, abandoned, and neglected animals as well.

I’ve been living and working with animals in the Santa Clarita/Los Angeles area for over ten years. Doing everything from basic training, grooming, board and care, dog sitting, and dog walking.
